Better All in 1 script and GUI, instead of all loss scripts

Ok, here is the Idea, now the are a lot of scripts. A lot of scripts including the all in 1 scripts dont day 2 me much. I cant just understand it.

Is it nog possible just 2 make it so simpel as windows, something like:
Buttons for:
Firewall,
VirusProtection,
AdultFinder,
Profile Protection (lock ip adress to 1ip adres);
Greetingsmessages (better one then that of robocop or other standart things).

Just a extra GUI for the admins that do not know much about scripting, make it a wizzard of some kind. Make it a Childplay in a matter of speaking.

uhm yes this can be done, but will be hard to do on existing scripts.
If the person making the script, also makes the GUI, would be best.
Making a GUI is not hard, saving the settings correctly is. The scripts will have to read all settings from file(s), and the GUI will have to create these files in a way they match how the script will read them.
Besides that, a GUI cannot replace a script, it can only aid its visibility on settings.

But putting a bunch of scripts 2 gether in 1 working GUI like Robocop for excemple (easy to work with and take not lot time 2 understand) Only Robocop dont have a lot of scripts inside like virusscan/adultfinder/bad search chkker etc etc etc

If that all is in a all in 1 script and it is use with GUI, that will be then the ultimate Script there is and specialy for Owners that do not understand a lot of loss scripts etc

Ok then, feel free to do it You only need to decompile ( ) robocop, add other stuff to it, and make a gui for it


(quick question 1.: Why GUI, when you can read and have notepad installed with windows?)
(quick question 2.: Firewall to a PtokaX script?? What would that mean?)
(quick question 3.: Virus protection? You mean that one that filters 1 particular virus? I don't call that protection )
(quick question 4.: Why is it a problem that you have >1 scripts? I still have my secubot in 4 parts for example (I'm lazy), and it had no problems...)

With the 5.1 modulesystem, mainbots will get a fresh breath, I hope. Not meaning those "hack-together-others-work-and-compile" ones.

Making a GUI is a time-consuming hobby, certainly if the GUI-maker isn't the script-creator 
I have made GUI's for some of my scripts before, and 1 for Userbekcisi (although never released (yet)), but currently I don't have the time to be making GUI's for others.
Also, like bastya said, All-In-1 scripts are not ideal unless made out of smaller sub-part (and used as modules)
This gives an extra complication to making GUI's as the GUI will have to have the ability to function for all modules, as well as recognizing a skipped module and ignore it.

Work, work, work  ;D

My suggestion: All-In-1 script providers should provide a GUI (somehow)

The easiest thing would be a GUI interacting with, or better, written in Lua. Modular scripts could do it, consider the following directory structure:
PXfolder/
    scripts/
      xyscript.lua
      xyscript/
        xygui.exe
        modules/
          conf
          gui -- here would be lua files, that gui would open, all representing a separate "page" in the config GUI

Hope you get my idea, I am bad at creating GUIs.

It is possible, but still would be so much easier if the scripter finds a way(or some1) to create a GUI and provide it with the script

I think that it would me easier as there is a Universal Commands/language like LUA also universal scripting language for ptokax scripts.

I could be stupid 2 say this as a non scripter, but if you see it in logic then it semms right

Well, a universal gui framework could be made in Lua (using e. g. IUP), why not? Self-explanatory variable names, adding comments as gui tooltips and unified configfiles - the configurator could natively handle the config files. With the framework, one could create a GUI for his script in no time, be it modular or monolithic. I am way unable to create even a simpel GUI, but if someone would like to catch the ball on this proposal, I'd be willing to help and learn.

I do not really support the idea of universal GUI as it limits the variable declaration alot.
And even if we decide to make our botname always 'sBotname' , then what about secundary bots ?

I think we rather need a framework. In my minds eye, variable names and their nubers are irrelevant. But please, please let's discuss this at the relevant wikipage. ;-)
