Real nice work with v7.0/v7.0a.

Unfortunately I did got a lot of error messages. Can I post them, or what? I stored them in a text file.

I'm running PtokaX 0.330 build 15-25 on a fully updated W2K Pro.

More: in both v6.0d and v7.0/v7.0a I activated "Sets No Double Login on/off" in the settings.ini. It worked fine! So I don't understand why it can't be activated with the settings interface.

In both v7.0 and v7.0a, I couldn't reset the counters. However, in v7.0a it started to function properly unexpectedly.

Went back to the older version because of the frequent "Syntax error" messages. Since then also v6.0d generates syntax errors during running. Never happened before.

You haven't done a fresh install you used old settings/logs/etc again in the new installation and then you have those errors

You need to read to help files better i think a Fresh install means a Totaly fresh install.

What shell i say more, i know those functions work right everybody knows that.

Nada@WTB

Optimus, RoboCop 7.0a works great for my hub, 0 errors, they ops and users love it, keep up the great work and I look forward to the future releases as each one keeps getting better and better.

In this case fresh install means that registered users can't be copied from old install to new install?

I had some problems too. There was some syntax errors and OP chat dissappeared.

xfiles

Hi Mikko.

Registered users are in the Ptokax RegisteredUsers file and not in RoboCop.
If you delete all RoboCop files from the Scripts folder and do a fresh install nothing happens to your registered users.

regards

Mikko

I know they wont be lost if I remove robocop, I meant should those be written again when updating from rc6 to rc7. First time I tried rc7 with copied registered users file it worked nicely for some time. After few hours scripts window is full of syntaxes.
Everything else but registered users was fresh install. And I tried to find if there was something wrong with settings but nothing helped.

I removed all robo files before installing v7.0! Installed v.7.0a also clean, but putted back the log files (drive:\ptokax\scripts\logs\) after checking the mark-up of the files and saw no differents. However, I don't use your default settings, every client is welkom at my hub -- check just for fakers, lockers and limiters. And I did use the statistic functions of PtokaX.

Maybe I should install PtokaX also clean.

Forgot to mention that I'm already for weeks under serious attack by anti-p2p groups. Or better to say, I got a lot of requests at port zero from anti-p2p groups. This caused PeerGuardian to overload my cpu (PG took 91% of my cpu's capacity). This is now solved by using an other firewall, that's capable to blok unwanted IP's. This firewall only take up 5% of my cpu's capacity -- using an AMD Athlon 1200MHz with 512 MB RAM.

I think you runned out of luck lol. Maybe this time it will be beter. Cause it shouldn't be that hard lol - RoboCop use tobe fun using not a pain in the asss. hehe

Normaly a error can accure after a longer period of running, not after a fresh install.

Cya all l8trs Optimus ;)

Nada@WTB

Guys just save your RegisteredUsers.dat and copies of your rules ,network.txts, then delete, I repeat delete all other files. Do a fresh install of Ptokax, then a fresh install of RoboCop, copy over the RegisteredUsers.dat and your txt files to the appropriate locations. Then personalize your options in Ptokax and RoboCop for your hub. Run the hub. Then add any seperate scripts that you might use such as zRightClicker.lua, etc. then restart scripts.
DC is suppose to be fun ya know, stop making it harder then it needs to be.
Optimus has written a great script, and tries very hard to please everyone, but 98% of the errors you all are complaining about could be solved if you follow the above steps.

Peace :D  ;)

Thats a well known problem with peer guardian,
i suggest u try protowall instead. uses less cpu and also gives option to add banned ip's

Tried to use ProtoWall, couldn't because an incompatibility with my NIC driver. Use now OutPost Free Firewall with BlokPost. Can blok every ip I want and uses The Bloklist Manager for generating a extended bloklist.

With PeerGaurdian, by the way, you can blok also single IP's. Just the CPU usage when blokking is the killer.

You can use !upgrade for that to. Just pick the profile of choice and downgrade the user
