I dont want the REG tag, in the old one its possible to make a choise on/off REG tag but in 10.01 or 01.a it's not possible to make a choice.

if i use !regreg in old on.

!regreg testuser 1234
it will be a REG user without the [REG]

in 10.xx
!regreg testuser 1234
the user got a name [REG]testuser

Regards Tassen

You have to untick "Enable register tag/prefix" in the Robocop 10.x GUI for the profiles u don't want to have that prefix when registering.

Best regards.

Robocop doesn't like clients with no-tag. Read a many many pages back. Or use the search button. :)

Tell them to upgrade.

Yes but for mac users there is no option to use NMDC with no tag.
As there is very mixed results with DC Gui and the new Valknut, most can't get it to run or it is so buggy it is just unusable.
The mac DC++ port does not work for downloading so the mac users are left with no chioce.
I am left running on Robo 9b as it was the last decent version that allow the mac users in.
I am currently looking at another set of scripts that will allow mac nmdc users in and uses a lot less bandwith on the hub than robocop later versions.
Other than that it might be time to move to Yhub, but I would prefer to stick with Ptokax, but finding a script that works for these poor mac users is not easy.
The client checking should be in the OP's client rather than in the hub putting more load on the hosts connection, if a op on another connection checks with DCDM it can pick up more fakers and such.

It seems that the idea of what you would like to join the hub has been mad for you by the scripts creator, rather than giving the hub owner the right to choose.
I know he created it but a feature that was used in earlier versions has been removed to force the mac users to get a client that is better, but clearly it it not working.
I run some of the more popular mac hubs and get the users to try various versions of DC / DC Gui and some can run it on one version of OS/X yet on another it will crash or malfunction.
Clearly Optimus has taken the "Microsoft Stance" in trying to force these embattled mac DC users to software that is not ready for OSX as yet.

For me RC is the best hub security bot and have been using it since i started my hub.
I have found a way round so as to let MAC users in.
RC can send a message of your choice when it kicks or doesnt let someone in. I have put my hub email address in that announcement and it asks MAC users to email me with their nick and password. I then register them and put their nick in RC immune list.
I then use DCDM to check they are who they say they are.
Long way round but it works for me.

As far as I am aware you now enter the clients you want to allow in rather than the ones you want to keep out and you do that on the settings screen

nmdc is crappy client if they had tag support i woudn't mind having them in the hub.

Second script checks don't like tagless clients it creates all kinds of security holes and errors. Thats why code is rewritten more and more everytime. The code is much better now without the nmdc support and as i sayd scripts go forward not backward. So the clients need to follow the same procedure.

And yes i'm sorry for you and all mac users for problems you have.

Optimus, Is this true you have no possibility to enter the unwanted client or tags anyware ?

Regards Tassen

Optimus

nope only allowed clients.

This is done by the new system ppk made you can find that file called ClientTags.dat

DCGUI++ is also found in this file. Close hub remove item save file and startup hub again.

Requiem

I didnt see the previous report. Sorry.

Vvvverry nice work Optimus, as always.
May I ask a small esthetic change for next versions ?
Could you use profile names stored in Profiles.dat instead of traditional NetFounder, Master, Moderator,Op,VIP, and Reg ?
I mean I would like to use the same number of profiles (this for simplifying treatment of "Action" tab) but I simply would like to assign My personal name and meanings to each profile.
In my small hub I'm using only 3 levels for op and the remaining for regged users (a sort of reg-vip-svip..) and when I register a new one, i get the message "... registered with profile [Op]" even if he's a "svip" (I use different names  :D).
It will be nicer if other coud read the correct things  :P .
Thx for your work !

Event_Horizon

hi Optimus can u make "show users from selected profile " return in a PM instead of mainchat ??

i think it's a better way to check if there is alot of chat in main  :D
