i will stay with robcop 9 b then just i have users that are useing it right now..why can we not decide this on our own man if we want to allow it or not it is our own hubs we run should be our right or not...but that is ok you make the bot not us...

It's better for the DC community that we all use up to date clients. Using old clients such as that oDC client you told me i see no use for. There are several new versions of oDC you/they can use. Probably leechers those people there for they don't wane update

i checked it out, and that steatth mode you talking about shows a tag <++ V:0.306,M:P,H:1/0/0,S:1> or a other version mine is a old 1. any how in stealth mode is sees it as a normal dc++ client

I've had my CDM kicking this version of DC for ages, as far as i know it's not a proper release of DC++, just Strong DC in stealth mode gives this version number.

Personally i like the No Tag - Go Away policy.  If they are hiding the tag, they are trying to hide other things as well.

As of old versions of oDC and DC++, i have barred every none TTH compatabile client from my hub.  I think this is like MiniSlots, a feature every client should use.

i run a private hub and i had 45 of my users that use odc old verion tell me that most of there other hubs do not let the new odc in cause of it crashes to muh and users can not get files all the time so most hubs have banned it...as fare as dc++ that one is ok...can you please change it please...if not i will be suck using old robocop...

About oDC:

oDC is an old client that no longer develops, it doesnt support facilitys that are in newer dc++ clients such TTH etc
But lotsa users who was familiar to oDC turned to fulDC wich is based on later dc++ clients, have a look!

And as Optimus says Hub security is important, lets make it harder for fakers hub destroyers etc etc

If you are talking about the *.ocx files that are in the script folder of Robocop you have to leave them there they are used for the Robocop.exe other it will not work.
This is so it works on all windows platforms, it now also running on winnt4.0 hehe

Multisource downloads, which help make corrupt files, and rob all the free slots, preventing other people from downloading anything.  If you like Multisource clients, you should also let in DCGUI, Reverse Connect, and all the other crap.

why won't they use odc 5.31 i used it for a long time
nothing wrong with it and it is allowed in most hubs
only problem is that it is quite old.

Well users who against development has to be somewhere, now we know where to send them!

Would be interesting to see some trends over client usage.

But as Optimus said and lots of us agrees old clients with or without tags are presumtive security risks
and users who updates there clients is more happier if the rest does to

I do allow dcgui....
and.. about the multisource...Strong, has it limit to only have 10 segment on each file...

okey.. so they occupy more slots... but in less time...
instead of 30 hours, i dl a movie in less then 3 hours...

And, i and others has dl alot of files... and none of them where corrupted....
