IS there anyone in here how knows any good listing for "decrypting" client tags, and who shows facilitys for thos clients, would make it easier to decide about allowing new client or not
I don't quite understand what you mean. Do you mean a better way to detect clients that emulate dc++? Then I recommend you to use DCDM.

And Please Opti Give us a totally bugfixed version of RC9
Best ever made security script" before moving to RC X
I think he is all ready working on that. I think there will be only like one more release and then he can start with RC[X] :)

i think robocop won't allow another profile to use the commands of robocop.
I want them to be able to use all functions of robocop a normal operator has too.
hmm, ok, but personally I think that sounds kinda tricky and hard to make it work properly + the possibilty of security risks.

uffetjur

what I mean is that when a "new" clienttag shows up  I do want to be sure what kind of client it is before allowing it to enter the hub So i ask for a place / list wich i can use for identification of what kind of client the tag shows, including all options for that client.

I do know that dcdm got almost all listed but doesnt tell the speciality those clients have.
Somewhere in Cyberspace

Quattro

for most of the clients it is listed in the advanced properties of the profiles
press change at the concerning client
Or didn't you mean that sort of information

Motivations

Optimus,

and maybe somebody else can give me either a confirmation or a hint on how to Permanently BAN the:

DC++ Stealth client (v 0.41, 0.51, 0.60)

I have added in version 9.0b of robocop the following to the banned client table:

Stealth
0.41
0.51
0.60   (note not 0.6, since this will ban all the new normal DC++!!)

Also I have deactivated the "Other Clients" settings in my options...

Does this do it for this client, or do I need to check other things??
Sorry that I did not check 150 pages of messages.....and posted a question which might already have been answered, but I would like to know If I did things correctly.

Thanks Opti....and or others!!

Andoz

But a user or vip i give temp-Op.
I think at least the should be able to kick a user or?

Motivations:

Easiest way to do it is to set minversion 0.401 for ++
this will lock earlier clients out, but, there are stealted versions avilable for later clients to so this aint 100% sure

Ya, you're right, a temp op should be able to kick. But are you sure he/she isn't trying to kick a VIP?

blackwings

and Optimus, the thing with people complaining about the anti advertiser doesn't work... isn't that a "big" thing?

uffetjur

About Ops unable to kick VIP's that could be set in protection table

Hmm that is wierd, Optimus,  any idea why Andoz is having this problem? Is it a bug or something else?

bastya_elvtars

!op is buggy and insecure in PtokaX IMHO...
Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.

Optimus

First i'm again terible sick, this time i went to the doctor and i got penceline that i need to use for 7 days.
I hope to be beter in 4 or 5 days but i ain't sure about that. lol

The inbuild kick is the only 1 that should work with Temp OP command.

BUT?!?

The inbuild Kick command is linked to the !kick command. And it's linked to !kick Protection table.

Dear blackwings are you able to check this for me, and answering some questions for me when i'm sick.
I think your the 1 for that job. My thanks will be great.

And could you tell what part of Anti-Advertise isn't working please.

Greetingz Optimus

uffetjur

Sends you a gallon of the finest scotch single malt whiskey and my hopes for a fast recovery

Take care Opti!

Anyone got the same error?

Syntax error: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value
stack traceback:
   1:  function `doLogCounters' at line 99 [file `Robocop\TableFunctions.lua']
   2:  function `fBadClient' at line 42 [file `Robocop\DataArrival.lua']
   3:  function `DataArrival' at line 282 [file `Robocop\RoboCopv9.0e.lua']

Did a clean install, more then once :-) But still get same error?

I'm not certain, but it might have to do with the counter and the client check, reset all logs, it might clear some things up.

uffetjur

Its a good idea to tell what version of ptokax u use to, there are known version with bugs TD4.99 as an example

It's a ProtaX version problem!
I was having the same Errors with PtokaX-0.326.TestDrive4, the only thing that helped is upgrading to PtokaX DC Hub 0.3.3.0 build 15.25 [debug]

Thanx 4 your reply BoJlk :-)

heh, as I have always thought, b15.25  is more stable than TD4 :)

you mean it will keep collecting junk memory? well, it doesn't do that for me, it never goes above 10MB in memory
