It gives you a complete list of detected clients and there status.
You can never detect stealt mode clients without a tag, neither can the hubsoft, but sometimes its easier to let script part handle hub security because we want to keep things as updated as we can
if you let the hubsoft handle this there would be kneed for hubsoft updates once or twice / week

Hi i understand what every 1 is saying, let me put it like this.

1.) To allowe No-Tag clients i need to rewrite to code what will result in weaked code with holes in it and will reproduce errors in long term.

2.) The !addclient is removed because PPK changed PtokaX api and made the ClientTags.xml since there is no way to add new clients to this list by script command it resulted in what robocop is today.

3.) Hmmm maybe possible to have something that well send PM when new kind of client trys to connect. So Hubowner can put it in manualy (That is in the ClientTags.xml)

You can not detected DC stealth new version ;) 0.688b
But what you are saying some clients have not tag but you can detected by PK LOCK filelist generator That sort of things. .You not need a tag for some clients ;)

Regular users ar some times to OP.. You see the tag You see that the are in one hub OP  ;)

restarting the hub every time it detects a new client....
maybe there should be a way to add tags to the clienttags.xml through text commands...
DCH++ can add stuff to xml's while running and so can Ptokax because it adds users to a xml while running....
probably we should request such a feature for Ptokax :)

True in a way but beter then nothing hehe. I would recommend that you make a bigger list first in *.txt and then add them all at once.

But i don't mind to much that is i don't allowe other clients then the standard ones that are stored in ClientTags.xml

It are just a hand full of clients that are ok, that is as far as possible.

We need to think forward not backward. For example, clients that don't have a tag can't be part of DC any more, cause clients, hubsofts and scripts are evolving everyday as many things are in this world. So they need to update there stuff or get disconnected. lol

To make DC a better place tobe i advise everyone to allowe only these few clients.  And only update the ClientTags.xml when your absolutly sure that the client is ok.
And yes this will result in a few less users in your hub.

There are exceptions and they can be putted on the immune list

Using DCDM++ is also recommended it's said to say but DC is a jungle

These are the few things you/we can do but this will still not garanty 100% safety

well you do actually....
because allowing only DC++ encourages the builders of other clients to not change their tag....
I did it myself to dcdm and everybody can do it...
so this way we will only allow dc++ tags DCGUI and NMDC tags...
But a tag says nothing anymore....

Yes, I agree this point of view, this is the right way to do things..
If the purpose is filesharing, no one will use an old client with old features, without a tag, and so on, old thingies, just update and problem solved, if devoleper doesn't update it, then change to a more updated client. NMDC v2 have a regular tag. those who use v1 can update to v2 (that is old anyway..)

hmm, i dont think thats a good solution, the best thing would be to create a new folder for all those things, like

and stick everything there, it would be more dity, but anyways thats just my opinion, i could b wrong

I like the sound of clearer  definition  (within the scripts  folder)  ...  If its opinions  u are looking for  ..  I personally  would prefer Dessamator's  version  using  sub directories (as that would  make the scripts  folder a lot tidier and easier to navigate)

!watch does not work as it should.

when you set a watch on sombody its only work until the user or you go offline, when your back the watch is auto sett off. same thing if the script restart.

Would be nice optimus if OP also can use watch.

it is basically a spy tool..   I dont like the idea  of all the ops being able to use this tool.  

My masters only use the tool  if they think something is going on..  and very rarly  as in  My Opinion it invades peoples privacy  

u can always alter your master and netfounder profiles to suit your needs ..  and upgrade  your trusted ops (it hasnt been that long since  the 4 profiles were upgraded  to 6  profiles  .. )

I believe OPTI  has the balance  right on this one

We use the command for a reson and if the user goes offline and online again it's no use of the command. I don't like the idea that OP and Mod can use this command.


And in RC > Profiles > Action > Upgrade >
